In Conversation with Deborah Brett - Founder of DB Ceramic
Deborah Brett is Editor at Large of Wardrobe Icons as well as contributing Editor of Red Magazine. She has also been a stylist for many years. Recently Deborah has entered the world of ceramics and just launched her brand DB Ceramic. Deborah has worked together with a fifth-generation family run manufacturer in Stoke-on-Trent who casts each of Deborah's unique pieces, allowing them to be replicated. The pieces are then fired and gazed by local artisans using Deborah's signature bubble glaze technique, which she has spent a long time perfecting. All of Deborah's designs have been created at her studio in her West London home. Deborah kindly invited us to her studio to take a look around and to talk to us about her creative processes and what creativity means to her.

"Creativity for me is the essence of who I am. I don't think there is a moment where I am not thinking about being creative or just being creative"
"I love that idea of putting something in the kiln and not quite knowing how it's going to turn out, in the way that the sea and landscape is always moving"
